Farewell from inChoir

Happy New Year to you all.

After a good opportunity to think during the Christmas and New Year break, I’ve decided that the time has come for me to stop inChoir sessions. Next month would have seen our thirteenth anniversary, so we’ve had an amazing run. We’ve made two recordings at Abbey Road, sold out the Hawth Theatre and Brighton Dome, as well as doing performances further afield in Cornwall, Edinburgh, and Bath, not to mention overseas trips to Boston, CapeTown, The Arctic Circle, France, Spain and Italy (and too many others to mention). But for me personally, it’s time to move on to a new chapter in my life without the responsibility of weekly emails and weekly musical arrangements!

So that’s it; time to draw a halt to our weekly singing sessions. Jude has decided that, due to the current covid situation and personal circumstances, she also will not run weekly sessions for the time being; however, she has some exciting singing opportunities planned for when the situation is more stable. She will send you more information and dates nearer the time.

In the meantime we all wish you all well. And it just remains for me to say good luck, keep singing, and thanks for all the laughs and beautiful music along the way.

Lots of love

Mark

"I joined inChoir to have a chance to learn and sing popular songs. We have good fun, and there is no pressure to perform – yet I find that performing our songs gives a ‘buzz’!"

"Brilliant night singing at The Hawth with Inchoir - on a high now and don't want to go to bed yet."

"inChoir is a fun place to be, and we have quite a few laughs. I enjoy the variety of songs we sing, and love to take part when we sing to the public."

"what an AMAZING inChoir concert! Sold out the Hawth, great audience, wonderful band....and I remembered all the words to Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy (fastest trio ever!). Fab night xx"

"I am very enthusiastic about inChoir.  Actually, it is quite hard not to be with such a lively and encouraging conductor!  The rehearsals are fun, and at times, challenging as we sing popular songs, arranged specially for inChoir in 3, 4 or 5 part harmony."

"I find it relaxing and fun. There is never any pressure (which is so important). It is lovely to meet familiar faces but also nice to meet new people. I’ll always be grateful to a friend from Haywards Heath for encouraging me to go along with her."

"Wow! Fantastic night singing in concert with InChoir tonight at The Hawth. Im still buzzing! It sounded amazing with the band, especially bohemium rhapsody! Thank you Mark Hepell and Karen Xx"

"I don't really know what to say that's not already been said, but well done everyone, and thank you to inchoir for giving me my singing confidence back again!! xx"

"A friend recommended singing as an aid to fighting depression as singing with other people can be a very uplifting experience. Its great fun, we have lots of laughs with the choir leaders and for me it is the high spot of my week."

"The choir came into my life when I was having a rough time and it's given me so much joy and laughter, singing is so therapeutic, and like you it is a great passion of mine. "

"How amazing to be part of such a big and fantastic choir! Many thanks to Mark and Karen and everyone who helped to make it happen!"
